I've been sitting on what I think is a pretty interesting idea for the past few weeks. It's a comic with a bit of a twist. The only thing that's prevented me from posting about this before now - besides the fact that I was fully intending to leave this website and thus deleted all of my uploaded art a little while ago - is that I just do not have the time to create, write, draw, colour etc. an entire comic by myself. I'm a writer hoping to head into a screenwriting course in a year or so, for which I'm attempting to put together a portfolio. I'm also writing the lyrics and book for a musical being composed in Canada, I run a couple of websites, I'm about to start finally learning to drive AND I work full time far enough away for me to spend anything up to three and a half hours travelling daily. I'm lucky I have time to sleep.

The thing is, this idea just won't leave me alone. I'm constantly finding myself doodling character designs and cell layouts. Subplots leap into my mind at the most awkward times. I have an entire world in my head that I have to do something with or I'll go crazy. But I'm going to need a little help to get it out.

It's based on an old comic from the early 90s that was drawn in a vaguely manga (but still kind of realistic?) style. It's essentially sci-fi, but almost all of the characters are animals. So I'm looking for people that draw any of the above, or things related to them. So spaceships, anime, alien landscapes, anything like that. I could also use people with basic knowledge of psychology, politics, espionage, that sort of thing. I'm aiming to get as close to the original style, without necessarily being identical. I'm not too great with clean lines, I'm more a design/concept/rough storyboarding type person, but I can colour reasonably well. Still, a second colourist would be helpful. Just in case. And I want to inject it with as many geeky/science jokes and sci-fi references as possible, just for the fun of it.

If anybody at all is interested, please let me know. Some samples would be nice, if you have them, too. I have no idea if anybody reads these, but if you do come across it and don't happen to be interested yourself, please pass it on if you think of anybody that might be. Because it really will drive me crazy. And I'm quite crazy enough already.
